BOROUGH POLL.
PAPATOETOE PROPOSAL BOARD FIXES DATE. A poll of electors on the proposal to raise the statu® of Papatoetoe to that of a borough is to l>e held on July 30. according to a decision reached by tin Papatoetoe Town Board. A letter was received from J. W. Heenan, Under-Secretary, stating that the necessary steps would l>e taken for the issue of the instrument making arrangements for the taking of a poll. The board decided to convenc a meeting prior to the poll in order to submit details to the ratepayers. The clerk, Mr. W. Young, was appointed returning officer, and it decided to close the supplementary roll on June 30 and hold the poll one month later.
