TASMAN WAS UNRULY.
Inbound to Auckland from Eden, New South .Wale*, the Union Steam Ship Company freighter Gabriella. which arrived last evening, ran before the full blast of the stormy weather which buffeted shipping during the week-end. No damage was suffered, but many seas were shipped. The Kekerangu. en* route to Sydney, appeared to be making very heavy going when sighted by the Gabriella off Cape Maria van Diemen. Two ships in shelter in Spirits Bay vvere considered by the master to be the Kauri and Kartigi. Other shipping on the coast was considerably hampered by the storm, and few ships were able to maintain scheduled times.
