WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AMD PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist iasued to the " Auckland Star " thie afternoon the following apeoial weather forecaet for the Auckland province to aa far aouth aa Hamilton, Tauranga and Kawhia:— Moderate to etrong but decreasing south-westerly winds. Weather cold and changeable, with passing showers, but improving. Sea moderate on the east coast, rough on the west coast. Pressure ie etill rather low to the east, and especially near East Cape, but is high in the south and is rising rapidly over the Dominion generally with the advance of an intense anticyclone from the Tasman Sea. Over Western Australia pressure is falling slightly. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south, fresh; sea, rough; weather, cloudy, but mainly fine, with occasional showers; visibility, fair; barometer, rising.
