Elderly Fascists - Expected to Leap Bayonets. NEW ITALIAN DECREE. I LONDON, June S. Physical tests of Spartan severity are to be applied to the leaders of Fascism. The Rome correspondent of "The Times" reports that jumping with the aid of springboards over hedges, whippet tanks, horses and rifles with fixed bayonets, will be included among the athletic tests which members of the National Fascist Directorate ar-1 04 provincial secretaries must pass during their coming meeting. They will also be required to show their proficiency in riding and swimming. Such is the instruction given by the secretary-general of tiie party, Signer Achille Starace, though many of the leaders are middle-aged, or even elderly.
