WOMEN'S ORGANISATION.
'1 hero was a large attendance of members at the annual meeting held at the \.W.C'.A. assembly hall on Monday, Dr. Hilda Xorthcroft presiding.
The annual report wi.s road and the ha la nce-shect presented 'l"h is showed that a tremendous amount of work had been achieved in tHe past year. In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, the president addressed the meeting on the political situation and the general trend of the organisation, also thanking the executive nn.l officers for the tower of strength they had been to her, and stating that the financial membership of the women's organisation was 5000.
The following officers were elected:— President. Dr. Nortlicroft; vice-presi-dents, Miv. I). M. Could, Mrs. K. A. Kmythe, Mrs. .T. W. Kealy. Miss Alice Hasten; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mrs. K. S. Crump; assistant secretary. Miss (!. Y. Luxford; auditor, Miss Alice Hasten. Party at Mangere. The Mangere branch of the Xational party held a succes-;!ul card evening in the Mangere East Public Hall, bridge and five hundred being played. The winners were as follow:—Bridge. Mrs. 'iriliter and Mr. A. Kenwood; hidden number, Mr. Johns; five hundred, Mrs. Saussey ami Mr. L. Knight. Onehunga Branch. The Onehunga. brancli of the women's organisation hehl a successful bridge and luali joiig evening at Mrs. (". I'rotlieroe's re.-idence in Onehunga. The hostess was assisted by Mrs. Keith Buchanan and Mrs. 1:. (Jrundy. Prizes were donated by Mrs. \V. S\ ines and were won by Mrs. \V. Xoad, Miss Gouk and Miss J. Xeill.
