IN AID OF COLLEAGUE
St. Mary s Hall, Ellerslie. was a scene 01 gaiety ami colour la>t evening. when the Ellerslie jockeys arranged t h.-ir annual dance and made the function an outstanding success. The proceeds will bo handed to Mr. 1!. K. Thomson, who was badly injured at a rare meeting some months a<ro.
Added to the excellent streamer decorations were the colours of many well-known racehorse owners. Palms, winter flowers, joekey caps ami coals, with coloured lights at tin- back of tiicm. added another eheerv tone.
Mr. Gerald Stead was the orgaui-cr and an energetic ladies' committee comprised Mesilumes A. Cullen. I'. (juinu. H. Goldfinch, S. Treniain, \V. Pliilp. Baker, L. Dulieu and L. Gougli.
