FACTORIES BURNED.
BIG FIRE AT MELBOURNE. MELBOURNE, June 12. Damage amounting to £25,000 was done by a fire which destroyed two large factories and a block of cottages at Burnley, the industrial part of Melbourne, to-day. The lire had been burning for about three hours below it was detected, and when it was at i s height the flames covered one and a half acres. , One factory was occupied by the Pearlite Company, J'lakers, Limit:c , the Dixie Flake Food Company and the ■ Standard Company, all » mk " s . groceries. The other was a furuituie factory.
