TECHNICAL FOR PROMOTION. Saturday's games in tlie second division of the senior grade ended the first roand, Technical is the first tea in for promotion. The other team to go up is not certain yet, as Training College and Taknptuia are both equal in second place ou the ladder. Points scored by these two teams will decide the issue. The Auckland Rugby Union will announce the promoted team after consulting the referees' score sheet. Technical were hard pressed at times in their match with Northcote at Eden Park, but with a Mine rally at the end they ran out winners at 15—0. Cleave, K. and It. Bj-erley and Amos scored for Technical, and St. George landed a penalty goal.
