ELDERSLIE STUD.
SALE OF PROPERTY. NEW COMPANY TO BE FORMED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, this day. The whole of the, Windsor Park and Elderslie properties having been bought by Mr. Edward Steele, a well-known Queensland pastoralist, the Elderslie Stud will still be carried on under the management of Mr. Ken Austin, the managing director of the present company controlling the stud farm. It is understood, however, that a new company will be formed to control the stud. Mr. Steele, who recently disposed of Stainburn Downs, one of the best-known stations in Queensland, will reside at Windsor Park. The property will be taken over in February and a dispersal sale of the Elderslie stallions and bloodstock wiH be held in January. Keenly interested in racing, Mr. Steele has several horses in training in Queensland and at Randwick, Sydney. He recently visited England and bought five high-class brood mares at the December sales there. These mares are now at Elderslie, where three have foaled.
