GIFT AFTERNOON.
—I In honour of the approaching marriage of Miss Ruth Plowman, of St. Helier's Bay, a gift afternoon was given by Misses Lewis and Nancye Grey, at their home at Tamaki Avenue, Otahuhu, on Saturday. An enjoyable time was spent by the guests, several clever competitions creating much interest and amusement. Mrs. Alan Box contributed vocal solos and Miss Peggy McAnulty gave an exhibition of national dancing. Among those present were Mesdames G. W. Plowman, J. Plowman. E. R. Plowman. W. G. Orey, F. W. Grey. E. Johnston. Alan Box. .T. Stone. J. Shaw and R. Oeorgeson, and Misses T,orna and Tna Plowman. Clarice Stone. Grace Wilson, Kay and Doris Pirie. J. Browne. J. Chapman. Kathleen Grey, Elsie Harwnod. Pat Nicholson, Dorothy and Peggy 1 Mayho, Joan O'Toole. Dorothy Phillips, Peggy McAnulty and Frances Grey.
