AFTER HOURS SALE.
HOTEL LICENSEE FINED.
For opening his premises and selling liquor after hours to Ditlev Gothard Monrad, a farmer, of Paeroa, on April 8, Hugh Lynn, licensee of the Captain Cook Hotel, Khyber Pass Road, was yesterday fined £5 and costs by Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M.. in the Police Court.
Senior Sergeant Caldwell conducted the case for the police. Mr. Wright appeared for Monrad. who was fined £1 10/ and costs. Mr. Terry represented Lynn.
. Evidence concerning the offence wa« given by Sergeant Doel and Constable Rowe, of Newmarket.
