PAST PUPILS HOLD A REUNION BALL.

Large Gathering at El Rey Last Wght.

El Key was the scene of the reunion of many old school friends last night, when a ball arranged by the joint committees of the OKI Pupils' Associations of Nga Tawa, Woodford House and Wanganui Collegiate School was held. A large number of past pupile from the three different North Island school* were present, and many old school competitions and inter-college matches were recalled.

The entrance hall at El Rey was decorated for the occasion with largo replicas of the shield of each school, and in the ballroom festoone of balloons added to the gaiety of the scene. In the adjoining rooms large bowls of Iceland poppies, hydrangeas and early spring flowers made an attractive netting for the dance intervals, and the radiators, ■which warmed all the rooms, added much to the general comfort of th-e proceedings.

To provide further amusement for the guests competitive games had been arranged in the room adjoining the ballroom, and, as well as dancing, many of the people present spent an enjoyable evening trying these various games. A buffet supper wa* served throughout the evening in a large marquee erected at the back of El Rey. The table* here were decorated with Iceland poppies, and in the corners of the tent groups of bamboo foliage hung with gaily coloured lights -added to the decorative scheme.

The committee arranging the ball consisted of Mrs. Levering Kuseell and Miss Valerie Rowland, representing Woodford House; Mrs. J. L. Mackintosh Horrocks and Miss Barbara Stedman, representing Nga Tawa; Mr. J. L. Mackintosh Horrocks and Mr. G. P. Hanna, representing Wanganui Collegiate School.

The gucste were received on arrival by Mr. Austin Carr, president of the Auckland branch of the Wanganui College Old Boys' Association; Mrs. Levering Russell, president of the Woodford House Old Girls' Association; and Miss Barbara Stedman, president of the Nga Tawa College Old Girls' Association. Mrs. Russell was wearing a frock of carnation pink crepe &uede, with a green velvet sash. Miss Barbara St«> ".man was in silver satin with a spray of violete on the corsage.
