VIRTUAL ULTIMATUM.
Turkish Threat to Invade
Alexandretta.
WARNING SENT TO FRANCE.
LONDON, June 1
Turkey has virtually sent an ultimatum to France. It is-understood, this states that Turkish troops will march into the Sanjak, or province, of Alexandretta unless the French concede control of the territory. The region is practically under martial law. The Sanjak will be holding T*e first elections on July 1.3, after which an indepen4*fit Government rvilT be established.
After further rioting by the Turks in Antioch, in which three were killed, it is officially stated that registrations for the elections in Alexandretta have been suspended, says the Autioch correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph."
