REMUERA CLUB. NEW PRESIDENT ELECTED. A successful season, which was the subject Hi reference by the president, Mr. E. AT. 1). Olilson, was disclosed in the report presented at the annual meeting of the Remuera Lawn Tennis Club. There was a largo attendance of members. The accounts for the'year showed a surplus, largely owing to the substantial increase in the number of junior members, of which there were many proniising players.

Mr. D. L. Caldwell and Mr. J. F. Ewen were elected honorary life members of the club, in recognition of their interest and service over a number of years. In thanking the retiring officers, the new president, Mr. A. W. Christmas, made special reference to the services of Mr. D. G. Macfarlane, who had been'*on the committee for 15 years, including a term as president, and more recently as ground superintendent.
