A few hours before G-men rushed | to New Rochelle to renew the hunt for the kidnapper and murderer of j Peter Levine, aged 12, whose body was found yesterday, the five and a I half-year-old son of Mr. J. B. Cash,) a chain of petrol stations, j was kidnapped from his home ii^! Princetown, Florida. Mr. Cash later disclosed that he had successfully made contact witßi the abductors confidentially and predicted the child's return shortly. It is presumed he has paid over the ransom, although he refused to confirm or deny this. Contact was made by motor after the abductors liadj narrowly escaped capture when they buried a note attached to a rook through, a window into the midst of G-men assembled in Mr. Cash's home. Agents ran out and heard a fugitive crashing through bushes .in the darkness, but were unable to overtake him. 1 lie note set a second rendezvous explaining that the kidnappers were unable to keep the, first due to the presence of G-men. Mr. Cash's child, .Tames, is the seventh victim of kidnappers since 1032. The child disappeared while his mother was at a near by fillinsr-station helping her husband to count the day's receipts. Two notes were found by Mrs. Cash, demanding 10,000 dollars (£2500) ransom. One note contained a direction to a meeting-place for contact, which the frantic Mr. Cash attempted to estab- | lish. Several special agents arrived by aeroplane from Washington, but are not interfering with Mr. Cash's attempt to make the contact. . RANSOM PAID.
