ASSEMBLY SEAT.
UNIVERSITY COUNCIL. TWO NOMINATIONS MADE. Two nominations Lave been received for election to the Auckland Univcrsity College Council of a representative of the General Assembly resident in tlie Auckland province. The names forwarded to the rrjristrar of the collejre are those of Mr. S. Leatham. secretary to K. X. AmMer and Company. Ltd., and Mr. A. C. Norden. a city merchant. Mr. T.eatham is a graduate of the college and r. part-time kcturtv in economies. He is treasurer of the council of the Auckland branch of the Economic Society of Australia and New Zealand and a member of the council of the Auckland branch of the League of Nations Union. Mr. Norden has taken a keen interest in educational matters over a Ion"period.- He is president of the Ponsonbv School Parents and Teachers' Association and a member of the Ponsonbv District Schools' Committee and the Auckland Primary School Committees' Association.
