LOSS OF FINGERS.
MINE TRUCKER INJURED.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. As a result of a tomahawk slipping when sharpening a wedge in the Martha mine yesterday, Mr. Thomas A. O'Malley, a trucker, had the misfortune to lose the index finger of the left hand, and half the second finger. The wounds were dressed at the mine station, after which Mr. O'Malley was admitted to the public hospital.
