RAILWAY DEVIATION.
WORK NEAR TURAKINA. SATISFACTORY PROGRESS MADE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, Tuesday. "I am quite satisfied with the progress that has been made," said the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, after inspecting the TurakinaOkoia railway deviation to-day. "The standard of work is well up to that of other jobs in the Dominion." The Minister exjaessed himself as being pleased with the type of men engaged and said they were very contented ua. the job.
