WATCHED BATTLE.
N.Z. WOMAN IN CHINA. i WAS IT MISS WILKINSON? 1 (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Several Chinese residents in Wellington about May 19 heard a message broadcast from Station 2ZK, Hongkong, which stated that a New Zealand woman had been watching at Suchow a battle from the top of a nearby hill. As her position appeared to be very dangerous, the Chinese were much concerned. The Chinese Consulate has been informed by the listeners, as the incident may be a clue to the whereabouts of Miss Iris. Wilkinson (Robin Hyde), who was reported in a cablegram received on Saturday to be missing in the Suchow area.
