WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light to moderate south-westerly to westerly wind predominating, but backing later in placcs to northeasterly. Weather for ihe most part fair to fine and mild, but a few isolated light rains probable. Seas slight to moderate. Pressure has risen somewhat over the Dominion, and especially to the eastward. A series of slight westerly depressions has been crossing the South Island and a deep one is now located over south-eastern Australia. HAURAkI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, northerly light airs; sea, I smooth; weather, fine and . clear .with I scattered clouds; visibility, good; | barometer, rising.
