CHATEAU TONGARIRO.
RAILWAY EXCURSIONS.
In order to provide the public with an opportunity of visiting the sports grounds of the Tongariro National Park, the Government Tourist and Publicity Departments are co-operating in the running of week-end excursions to the Chateau. These excursions, which are commencing about the middle of next month, allow two full days in the mountains with the loss of Saturday morning working time only. In view of the large number of private and public concerns which are not now operating on Saturday mornings, the proposal should act as a great inducement for the public to obtain relaxation and recreation in. such beautiful surroundings. The details of the excursions are being advertised.
The Chateau during the week-end incorporating the King's Birthday is alreadv fully booked.
