FAREWELL DANCE.

GAY AND FESTIVE SCENE.

An enthusiastic farewell was given the Rugby League Kiwis last evening in the Peter Pan Cabaret. Green palms and concealed lights gave a perfect setting for the many lovely frocks seen on the dance floor.

The president's v.-ife, Mrs. J. A. Lee, who wore a charming frock of black accordion-pleated georgette and sequins, received the guests and Mas assisted by Mrs. Ivan Culpan, who wore African taffeta and lace. Members of the committee present included airs. R. Doble. figured georgette; Mia. I. Stonex, black crushed velvet; Mrs. C. Howe, black suede crepe and sequins; Mrs. T. Chermside, patterned crepe; Mrs. A." Scott, cyclamen georgette and fur wrap. During the evening opportunity was taken to farewell the team. The president, Mr. J. A. Lee, wished them good luck and many wins. Messrs. H. Wilson and Grey Campbell also added their mead of good wishes. Messrs. J. Redwood and W. O. Carlaw (co-managers) and W. McNeight (captain) responded. A presentation was later made to Mr. F. McAneny, a member of the Auckland Board of Control, who is going to Australia with the team.
