ORPHANAGE FUND.
TRUSTEES HANDED £116. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, Monday. Ending with the football fixtures at Rugby Park on Saturday, the big effort last week to rjflse funds to assist in the buihjing of an orphanage at Tikipunga resulted >in a total of £110 11/9 being handed over to the board of trust. On Wednesday afternoon a house to house canvass by the pupils of the throe town schools raised approximately £30, and additional tickets and programmes sold brought the total for this department to £48 5/3. Advertising in the programmes produced £17 12/6, and the mock Court on Saturday £24 12/2.
