PLOTTER SENTENCED.
Hard Labour for Rumanian Iron Guard Chief. REVOLUTIONARY SCHEME. BUCHAREST, May 27. The leader of the Iron Guard, M. Codreami, has been sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment with hard labour. The indictment against M. Codreami charged him with having prepared for a revolution with the support of a foreign Power. < The indictment mentioned letters addressed to foreign organisations by the Rumanian Nazis, announcing that an economic and political alliance would be concluded immediately the Iron Guard had seized control. Last month M. Codreanu was sentenced to imprisonment for six months on a charge of slander. Thousands of Fascists were arrested for having, it is alleged, plotted to overthrow the State.
