Later there arrived a single bed of 48 patches, three pairs or wincey„fette bloomers, three petticoats and a cosy ''pair or pyjamas. • • • • Black Cats (Otahuhu) —Our thanks to Laurel, Heather and Thelma Tor 15 wellknitted patches. • • • • Boronia Club (Te Atatu)—Twenty nice patches to acknowledge this week from LUlias, or the Boronia Club. • • • • Caravanserai Club (Ponsonby)—Six patches, a beret and a book to acknowledge with thanks trom the Caravanserai Sunbeams. Plain knitting- Is prererable for patches, Margaret. Patches In stocking stitch are apt to curl, unless they have a plain border. • • • • Chatterbox Club (Sanrtrlng-ham)—My word, how delighted we were to see two more beautirul quilts rrom the Chatterbox Club. These quilts are made or hundreds or tweed samples, and warmly lined with blue winceyette. Our very best thanks to the Chatterbox Sunbeams. • • • • Companion Club (Point Cheraller) —Five patches and a small collection or books arrived this week rrom this Point Chevalier club. • • • • Coronation Club (Morningslde)—An attractive blue satin cot quilt, lined with wool, the work or Thelma lon. was the first girt taken rrom the Coronation Club's parcel. .Next out came a cosy pair or pyjamas sent in by Rae Klrkla'nd, especially ror Tim. A knitted petticoat rrom Joyce Archibald and a knitted Jacket rrom Theirna completed this welcome parcel or girts. • • • • Cuckoo Club (Mission Bay)-—The first Cuckoo parcel Tor the week arrived rrom Captain Ruth Cowley and her sister Beverley, who sent us seven patches and fid for the lining rund. Next, rrom Mary Stitchbury, there arrived a splendid parcel or , six men's shirts, complete with sort collars, eight ties, a pair or cream trousers, and a pair or socks. Another parcel rrom Mary contained a collection of g-ood used Clothing. • • • • Ever Willing Helpers (Ponsonby)—Ten patches and a little singlet were the first girts to arrive this week rrom the Ever Willing Helpers. This was rollowed by a further 13 patches, two warm Jerseys and a knitted cap. So sorry your earlier gilt was not acknowlodg-ed-—always take care to enclose your club's name in each parcel.
