.TAKAPUNA BAND YEAR. NEW OFFICERS ELECTED. That the retiring committee had cleared practically every liability and had completed the year with a substantial balance in hand was stressed at the annual meeting of the Takapuna Citizens' liand, which was held during- the week. Speakers expressed their satisfaction with the band's favourable position. The band secretary, Mr. Zi. J. Henderson, was thanked for the work he had done during the past five y ars, and Mrs. Henderson was thanked for her continued interest in the band. It was decided to thank the Takapuna Borough Cott'icil for tha su'osi'Ly of £32 grunted last year, whieli Lad aes'nr.cd materially in balancing the budget. The following officers were ilccted: — Patrons, Messrs. W. R. Wilson and C. H. M. Wills; president, Captain J. A. Algic; honorary secretary-treasurer, Mr. L. J. Henderson; conductor, Mr. A. Taylor; deputy-conductor, Mr. A. fmithers; drum major, Mr.' F. B. Smyth- diputydrum major, Mr. J. J. McCusker; sergeant, Mr. C. H. Taylor; corporal librarian, Mr. L. S.
