EGG MARKETING.
SCHEME FOR WELLINGTON. " WEEKLY PRICE FIXING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. A move to organise the Wellington egg market has been made by several distributors at a meeting convened by Mr. C. G. Fox, of the Internal Marketing Department. For some time the need far control of prices on the market has been felt by dstributors, and the unsatisfactory movement of the market during the past fen' months has brought definite action. The meeting formed a committee which will meet weekly on Tuesdays and an endeavour to fix a stable price will be made. It is hoped that conditions similar to those existing in Auckland will be the outcome and that the Christchureh and Dunedin markets will be brought into line at a later date. Although it is not expected that the price fixed each week will remain steady 1 for the following seven days, provision j will be made for further discussion by I the committee and any necessary alteration will be* made.
