HAMILTON CONGESTION.
(From Our Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Sunday. In the main street of Hamilton, Victoria Street, traffic congestion again occurred yesterday, when cars, buses and taxis pawed on their way to the races at To Rapa. Traffic inspectors •were out in full force, but even with their assistance it wart impossible to maintain an altogether free How northward. This was especially so near pedestrian crossings. Most, interruption appeared to occur south of the post office crossing. The situation was complicated to a marked extent by the convergence of two streams of" traffic, the main one coming up Victoria Street from Hamilton East, and the other travelling from Ohaupo and the south-western districts through Hood Street. Frequently there were stoppages which held up lines of cars 200 and 300 yards long.
