SKID IN METAL.

DUNEDIN DRIVER KILLED. When travelling along Bushey Eoad yesterday morning about a mile and a half north of Palmerston a car skidded in loose gravel and turned over three or four times, the driver receiving severe head injuries, from which he died in the Dunedin Hospital last night, states a Press Association message from Dunedin. The victim was Mr. Frank Leslie Fox, second-hand dealer, King Street, Dunedin. Three other people were in the car when the accident occurred. They were Mrs. Fox, who was seated in front with her husband, Mr. Arthur Fox, a brother of deceased, and his wife who were sitting in the rear seat. Mr. Fox was preparing to pass another car travelling in the same direction when the accident occurred. Deceased was picked up about 12ft from the car in the middle of the road, but the other occupants escaped with minor cuts and abrasions. The car was wrecked.
