BLACKSMITH INJURED.
EXPLOSION OF GUN. (From Our Correspondent.) j PALMERSTON NORTH, this day. Injuries to the left arm and thigh were suffered by Mr. H. Brooker, a blacksmith, at his workshop at Woodville, when heating a log-splitting gun, which exploded. Mr. Brooker did not examine the gun before he put it into the fire, as he did not suspect there was powder in it, the ,gun having been brought in for repairs.
