APPLES IN DEMAND.
TREE TOMATOES PLENTIFUL. GREEX VEGETABLES DEAR. Good quality dessert, apples were in fair demand to-day. Prices For pears showed an improvement, Hawke's Bay supplies having dropped considerably. A good demand wa.s experienced lor hothouse tomatoes, and a lair inquiry lothothouse grapes. Queensland pineapples were in good demand, onlyja small ijuantit.v being available. The inquiry for oranges and niandaiiiis was fair. for lemons, bi|t values of the latter have eased. Large quantities ot tree tomatoes caino forward, values this year being rather low as compared with past seasons.

Vegetables. Cauliflowers were still in short supply, and sold well. Cabbage were slightly lower than last week, a* supplies were somewhat better.
