On July 28 last in England, for the first time in the history of cricket, two individual scores of 300 were made on the same day. E. Paynter hit 322 for Lancashire against Sussex, at Hove, and E. H. Moore played an innings of 316 for Hampshire against Warwickshire, at Bournemouth.
