Birkenhead.—The Birkenheacl branch held its monthly meeting recently. Mrs. Hannan has been appointed president instead of Mrs. (.'atman, who has left the district. A paper, entitled "The (Jreatest Fact in History," was read. Several members took part in reading papers and discussion. Mount Eden. —Mrs. Brocklehurst presided over the May meeting of the Mount Eden branch of the W.C.T.U. Miss Read, district president, gave an interesting account of the Dominion Convention, held this year at Napier, and the work of the many departments was reviewed.
