OBITUARY.

MR. GEORGE RUTHERFORD. The death has occurred at his home in Mount Eden of Mr. George Rutherford, brother of the late Lord Rutherford, famous Xew Zealand scientist. Mr. Rutherford was well-known in farming circles in the Waikato district.

MR. SKIRROW WHITE. A well-known resident of Otahuhu. Mr. Skirrow White, has died at the age of 94. He was born at Bradford, England, and arrived in Auckland ~>S years ago in the ship Lonpstone. which was later burnt in the Napier roadsted. Mr. White spent all but a few months of his time in Xew Zealand at Otahuhu. He was an enthusiastic walker, and at the age of 8(i made the return journey from Otahuhu to Whangaroi on foot. He was for many years prominent in the wool business. Mrs. White died seven years ago. Mr. White is survived by one son. Mr. H. T. White (Hamilton)" and two daughters. Mrs. J. Clarke and Mrs. E. Rosewarne (Otahuhu).
