BAD APRIL WEATHER.
RAINFAIX ABOVE AVERAGE. April this year was marked by unsettled conditions throughout, with the rainfall showing almost twice the average. Last month followed an exceptionally fine March, and is also in contrast to April, 1937, when rainfall figures were below average. -Total fall for last month was 7.38 in over 17 days, the maximum being on April 5, 2.35 in, according to the«report of Mr. S. M. Yallop, Government observer. The average for the month is 3.48 in. There were only two days without sunshine last month, however.
