PROPELLER CONTROL.
NEW ISLE OF WIGHT FERRY
British Official Wireless. RUGBY, May 1. An interesting feature of the new Southern Railway ferry boat for the conveyance of holiday-makers in motor cars and other vehicles and of merchandise, from Lymington to the Isle of Wight, is that it is equipped with Voch-Schneider propellers. These enable her to move forward or backward, obliquely or broadside on as required. The boat has propellers at each end but no rudders, being steered by her propellers.
