GREY RIVER ACCOUNTS. DREDGING IN SEPTEMBER. The annual accounts of the Grey River Dredging Company as at December 31, just issued, show paid capital £240,051. Other liabilities incluilei; calls paid in advance £240,051, and sundry creditors £4406. On the assets side the chief items are: Mining rights, il0rt.5«lO; dredge expenditure, i'45,ST>4: bank credit and cash, £rt:>,000: funds held on behalf of company i»y General Development Company, New York and Morgan, Grenfell and Co., Ltd., £20,S<>7; preliminary expenses and commission. £10,(500. The directors report that the dredge was launched on April •£!. It is anticipated that some little delay will take place before dredging -operations commence, owing to the electric power not being available, but present lndiaeiions are. that digziiig will commence about Hie middle of September.
RETURNS OF COMPANIES.
Mataki Junction (Murchison). Week ended April 28, a total of 48oz smelted cold from 18.000 yards in 109 hours. Moonlight Goldflelds (West Coast).— Wash-up on April 27 yielded 81os for 270 hours slufcinjf.
