UNEMPLOYED WORKERS.
REQUEST TO MINISTER.
(Froari Our Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCIt, Thursday. A deputation from the Unemployed Workers' Movement, which waited on the Minister of Employment, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong, received from him an assurance that in due time they would receive conditions equal to those given in labourers' awards. The deputation was seeking improved conditions in employment on full-time work. "You cannot expect conditions better than those ruling (for award workers," the Minister said. "I am anxious to see all workers getting a guaranteed wiige, of course, and will see that you receive conditions equal to those experienced by labourers working under awards."
