FOOTLIGHT PARADE.
I wish to thank your correspondent Mr. Folliek for his letter in Wednesday's issue of the ''Star' , in appreciation of my humble efforts to entertain with my theatrical articles. Your correspondent is correct —the artists referred to were Bella and Bijou—in my original typescript I notice that the typiste lias got Byou. Evidently my writing wa? responsible for this. Anyhow, whatever happened, the fact remain* that thie talented duo were very popular during the ten years prior to the war. By the way. I have had numerous letters and inquiries through my articles. Soiy.e I have answered personally, others on account of no addresses T have not been able to replv to. Will readers who took such an interest in '"Footlight Parade." please accept my sincere thanks for their enthusiastic letters and help, which have come from all over New Zealand from the Bluff to the North Cape. In answer to those who ask for f-urther chronicles I would point out '"Barkis is willing."' Arrangements are being made for a further series to be published in the popular Saturday night's
"Star" Week-end Pictorial dealing with famous musical comedies and their caste* of other days. FRANK BROAD ("Old Pro.").
