FIVE TEAMS LEVEL.

CLUB COMPETITION.

SATURDAY MATCHES-SHORE TO MEET RICHMOND.

The principal Rugby League fixture to-morrow at Carlaw Park will be the meeting of North Shore and Richmond, two of the five teams which are in the lead for the championship. The match should be very keenly contested, as Richmond will field a strong side, and Xorth Shore have shown marked improvement since Banham. the player-coach from Sydney, wa« included in their backs

Mount Albert, also one of the leading teams, have been drawn to meet Mai ist in the curtain-raiser. Both the teams are solid all round, and have backs who are capable of making a bright ami open game. On form to date Poiisonby should win their match with Papakura in the curtainraiser game on the Xo. 2 ground, but the latter will be strengthened for the occasion, and are quite capable of providing a surprise.

There is interest in tlte following match between Newton and City, as the former have shown surprisingly good form this season, .vhile City have won the two matches that they have played so far. The match should provide a very close struggle. and as the forwards should be evenly matched, the issue may be decided by the backs. Positions of clubs :— rts. Ch. P. W. Lt. D. F. A. Tts.
