POPULAR TEACHER.
FAREWELL PARTY. PRESENTATIONS MADE. Miss H. W. dillespie. who for the past ten years has been a jM»pular teacher at the Normal School, is retiring from the teaching staff, and will leave next month on a tour of England and the Continent.
A great favourite with the younger children, and one of the most popular teachers on the- staff. Miss (iillespie received many beautiful presents and wishes of goodwill at a farewell party > f ' ' v.
held for her yesterday afternoon at the home of her sister, Mrs. Eric Water, of Kowhai Terrace. Appreciation of the good work she had done at the school, especially among the younger children, was stressed in tlie farewell speeches.
Among those present at the presentation party were: Allen, A. Bellchani, Butler, Dagger. Dibble. Farrell, Lamb, Fletcher Jones, Kirk, Hill. Myers. Palmer, Pryor, Pickles. Smith. Simpson, Petersen, Tozer. Southon. Tiipling. Yates. Wagstaff, Wel)lK>r and Miss Butler.
