COLOMBO TEA SALE.
At the weekly sale of Ceylon tea held at Colombo on April 26 the quantity placed under offer amounted to 3,750,0001b. Quality showed a general falling. off and at the sale a good demand was experienced at generally slightly easier rates. Actual price alterations were a reduction of %d per pound on Commons, %d per pound on Price Broken Orange Pekoes rind v %d per pound on plain 8.0.P.'5. First Classic Broken Pekoes and Pine Broken Orange Pekoes were quoted firm. Next week's sale is expected to total D,?S*.ooolb.
