There was a little more interest in brewery shares, both Dominions and Xcw '/.< alands recording slight, advances. Yesterday's improved inquiry for Electrolytic Zincs was onlj oartially maintained. The preferences v.. 'e asked for at £2 ;1 fi, but there were no buyers for the ordinaries. Broken Hill Proprietary. Mount Lyells and Mount Morgan* were all marked down, but Morts Hock, in the first sale since January, showed at 11;' a lise of Od. Farmers' Trading shares were slightly easier, with a market between £1 and £1 0/4. Bank Shares Active. The market was inactive at the noon call, except for the banking and insurance sections. Among these two classes the only chances were a rise of Od in Commercial preferences and a drop of Sd in Nationals of New Zealand. A big parcel of South British sold unchanged. In the miscellaneous and other sections there were very few changes in quotations. Mount Mbrgan preference shares were minted for the first time on the basis of 8/ paid, between 0/ and 9/8.
