CRICKET TOURS.
FUTURE POSSIBILITY.
NEW SOUTH WALES TEAMS. MATCHES IN AUCKLAND. Confidence that in future the Australian cricket authorities will do more to assist Xew Zealand cricket was expressed this morning by Mr. \Y. R. Fee, chairman of the Auckland Cricket Association, who returned by the Wanganella after a short visit to Sydney.
Mi*. Fee said that it was anticipated that a strong Australian team would visit the Dominion in 1940. In view of
the fact that Auckland was close to Sydney by steamer service, he had discussed with the New South Wales cricket authorities the possibility of a New South Wales team being sent to Auckland to play a couple of matches, and it was agreed that if proper representations were made to the Australian Board of Control the proposal would receive every consideration. Mr. Fee said that his discussions with the New South Wales cricket officials were entirely informal, and were made for the purpose of exploring the position with a view to future action.
