LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
MORE JUNIOR TEAMS. A substantial increase in the number of teams was disclosed by the nominations received by the Auckland Rugby League junior management last evening. The chairman, Mr. D. Wilkie, expressed gratification at the evident development in the sixth and seventh grades. A possibility of an extra team was reported in the senior B competition and in the third grade, which, with 15 teams involved, will be played in two sections. Transfers: R. W. McLean, Ponaonby to Point Chevalier senior B (subject to approval by the control board); L. Keen, Herbert Muller and D. Hargreaves, Richmond fifths to R.V. fourth grade. Re-grades: J. Pollock (Mount Albert senior reserve), M. Greenwood (Otahuhu senior B), R. Cooper (Panakura senior B) and C. Maher (R.V. senior B) to third grade. A similar application in respect of D. Reason (R.V.) was deferred for the appearance of the player. Arrangements were made for the completion of the weighing-in r f Mams by Friday evening.
