Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star •• this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland i province to as far south as- Hamilton, Kawhia ar:d Tauranga:— Light to moderate southerly wind prevailing and gradually backing to northerly. Weather fair to cloudy. Temperatures moderate, but rising. Gcas slight to moderate. The depression eff the east coast of the North Island is moving slowly south-eastward. The cyclone centred yesterday over Tasmania has also moved south-eastward and pressure is falling under its influence over the eastern Tasman Sea and New Zealand. FOR THE DOMINION. j For 24 hours from 9 sjti. this day:— The indications are for moderate southerlies, gradually backing Dy east to north. There is a prospect of fair j to cloudy weather. The barcmetsr has p. falling tendency. Seas smooth to moderate. KAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in tne Hauraki Gulf was received .from Tiritiri island at noon to-day:— Wind, south-west, light; sea, smooth; weather, fine, but cloudy; visibility, good; barometer, steady.
