HOSPITAL POST.
CHOICE OF SECRETARY. DELAYED APPOINTMENTS. The names of eiirht applicants for the position of seeretaii', a position with a commencing salary of £1000 a year, came before a special meeting in committee of the Auckland Hospital Board yesterday afternoon. Five of the applicants were New Zealanders, and three were Australians. It was decided that the number should be reduced to three, and the board sat again last evening for the purpose. The selection of a secretary will be made at a meeting next Tuesday.
