COMBINED RACING. EIGHT CLUBS TAKE PART. KEEN CONTESTS ALL. ROUND. In a light easterly breeze with misty rain at time?, the yachting season was officially brought to a close on Saturday. when eight clubs took part in a combined series of races for all classes under Hie control of officials of tin- Auckland Yacht and Motor Boat Association. Race to Awaroa Bay. The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron raced their keel elan* to .Awaroa I'.ay Waiheke, a distance of l« miles, the finishing lino being off Lookout Point, where Mr H. J. George's yacht. Victory. was at anchor to take the tinteliing time*. II Class.—This class also finished at Islington Bay. From a good start Starlight crossed the line Just ahead of Corona fol lowed by Bluestreak. Spray, Nyria and Arawa in that order. Corona took the lead soon after the start, all laying down harbour on the starboard tack.
