NOMINATION DAY.
FIXED FOR APRIL 27. MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS. It was announced this morning by the returning officer, Mr. P. F. Notley, that April 27 had been fixed as nomination day for tlie municipal elections, which will be held on May 11. The same day will be observed in the suburban boroughs, as the practice is to make the nomination day coincide with the date fixed in the citv r .
The supplementary roll for the municipal elections will close at 5 pm. next Wednesday. To-day over 2000 names were added to the supplementary roll, and the present total is 12,701. The municipal main roll was closed with a total of 45,870.
The election of twelve members to the Auckland Electric Power Board will take, place two weeks after the municipal elections.
