LADIES' AND MEN'S EVENTS. The second annual tournament of the Public Sprvice Sports Club was played at the Windmill Road courts on Saturday and attracted a record entry of 120 players, comprising 30 teams, representative of various Government departments in Auckland. The semi-finals and finals produced a high standard of play, the eventual winners being tlip Public Trust (men) and State Advances (ladies). Results of the finals were :—-
Ladies.—State Advances ("Misses Howe. Hill, Nelligan, Holmes) beat Lands and Survey (Misses de Boissere, Cameron, Clarke, Jackson), 9 —6, B—7.8 —7. Men.—Public Trust (Molloy, Finklestein, Jones. I'aterson) beat Native Department (Watene, Te Anga, Stubbing, Turei), 9—3, 3—9, 2—l.
